Man Injured After Jumping Off Rainbow Falls

Emergency responders arrived at Rainbow Falls on Feb. 3, 2017, at 2:55 p.m. after receiving a report about a man who was found lying at the edge of the ponds after jumping off the falls.

The man had motioned to bystanders at the lookout point.

The man was extricated and transported to Hilo Medical Center Emergency Room for evaluation.
