Swell Fading Today, New Swell for Monday

A High Surf Advisory is posted for the north shore of the Big Island through 6 a.m. Saturday.

Hilo side: Wave heights are forecast from overhead to double overhead today for the best breaks and easing.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected about waist/chest high today and fading through the day.
South: Wave heights are expected to be waist/chest high today from the northwest wrap and fading.
Our current large swell is forecast to fade through the weekend. Another XL swell is expected for Monday the 14th with a smaller one for the 16th and possibly a better one for the 18th.
Nothing significant is expected out of the SPAC with minimal leftovers expected this week.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
