A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. this evening for seas from 7 to 10 feet and east winds up to 25 knots.

A Flash Flood Watch is posted through Tuesday afternoon.

Hilo side: Wave heights are forecast from waist/head high today.

Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be flat with just traces of south filtering in.

South: Wave heights are expected to be waist/head high today at the best exposures. More westerly exposures will be flat.

Trade swell brings up to head high waves to exposed spots on the Hilo side. Trades easing over the next couple of days.

Small northwest swell expected for the middle of the week, but the Big island is mostly blocked from this energy. Early season swell expected from the 8th to the 11th.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
