Hilo side: Moderate short period wind waves from the east falling slightly during the next few days. Light southeast winds until Monday and switching to the north-northeast. Light and variable north-northeast winds with smooth seas, Increasing later.

Kona side & South: Easing SSW swell continues with the well exposed breaks of the Kona Coast around knee to waist high surf, as top spots hit chest high and a little better on sets.

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
