South: Wave heights are expected to be waist/chest high today with plusses at the best exposures.

Trade swell is affecting northeastern exposures. Second half of the week surf goes quiet.

Screen Shot 2016-09-06 at 9.28.36 PMOur current south-southwest swell is bringing waist/chest high surf along the Kona coast. A reinforcement is expected to fill in Thursday bringing chest/shoulder high waves, possibly up to head high on the sets. Swell fading for the second half of the work week and into the weekend, but still rideable.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
