HIWLFGENERALeflyerAug262016Register online for the second annual Hawai‘i Island Women’s Leadership Summit, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.

This year’s theme is “Tools for Excellence – Self, Relationships, Career and Community.”

The purpose of this year’s summit is to strengthen women by providing real tools for real life, thereby empowering and advancing ourselves, our relationships, our careers and our community.

The summit will include a keynote speaker, breakout workshops, lunch, vendor expo and a networking pau hana.

Breakout topics will complement the Summit theme and be presented by a wide array of Hawai‘i Island entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders and rising stars.

Those registering for the summit will be asked to indicate their top four choices of workshops. To expedite registration, review the workshop descriptions prior to starting the process.

Keynote Speaker

Keynote Speaker Teri Bump Teri Bump is a partner, mother, colleague, friend and athlete with a bias for action. She appreciates, and shares with audiences, that professional growth is a choice and success takes many forms. Teri believes that each of us defines what a full, happy work life looks like and that we are at our best when we help each other win.

Teri has served universities nationally for 17 years, including Boston University and Oberlin College before joining American Campus Communities as Vice President for University Relations and Student Development 15 years ago. She speaks nationally on negotiation, generational communication, executive presence and the value of sponsors, mentors and coaches. She has made it one of her missions to help women attain positions of leadership, as well as ensure they are paid what they deserve and what they are worth.

With over three decades of coaching, speaking, and most importantly, real-life work experience, her view is action-oriented, optimistic and empowering. Her high impact presentations will encourage you to identify, own and expand your unique strengths and leadership potential moving you steps forward on your own path. Teri knows that we want to be more than seen, we want to be heard and we are willing to take action. We want to be significant. Scholarships Still Available

A very limited amount of scholarships are still available to support island residents who may not have the financial means to afford the registration fee and to provide access to personal and professional development opportunities for individuals seeking growth and advancement.
