Red Cross Assessing Damage from TS Darby

redcrossHawai‘i County, O‘ahu and Maui County Red Cross volunteers are canvassing the hardest hit areas today, Monday, July 25, to assess damage from Tropical Storm Darby.

Thus far, no residential damage was observed or reported on Hawai‘i Island.

Anyone who would like to report residential damage caused by Tropical Storm Darby can contact the Red Cross at the statewide phone number, (808) 739-8115, per this schedule:

  • Monday, July 25: 3 to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 26, and until further notice: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Leave a message if calling after-hours and your call will be returned. If you have an emergency related incident to report, please call 9-1-1 for immediate assistance.

From Friday to Saturday, July 22 to 23, 226 people stayed overnight in Hawai‘i Island shelters and 43 people stayed overnight in Maui County shelters.

On Sunday evening, July 24, 233 people stayed overnight in O‘ahu shelters.

All statewide evacuation shelters are currently closed.
