Kailua-Kona Hosts USGA Qualifying Events

Two United States Golf Association qualifying events will be held on the Big Island this year, including next month’s U.S. Open Local Qualifier at The Club at Hokulia on May 9.

Hokulia’s qualifying event is one of two happening throughout the state. The other one will be held on May 7 at the Ka’anapali Golf Course’s Royal Ka’anapali Course.

In addition, the U.S. Mid-Amateur Hawai’i Qualifier will be held on Aug. 15 at Big Island Country Club. The registration deadline is July 20.

A total of 11 local qualifying events, covering 10 different USGA events, will be held throughout the state.

May 9 – U.S. Open Local Qualifier, The Club at Hokuli’a, Kailua-Kona

May 16 – U.S. Women’s Open Sectional, Waialae Country Club, Honolulu

July 11 – U.S. Senior Open Qualifier, Leilehua Golf Course, Wahiawa
