A brush fire burning in West Hawai’i has caused the closure of the Family Court of the Third Circuit.

The court, which is located along Nalani Street in Kailua-Kona, reportedly has excessive smoke coming into the building from the fire.

Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald issued an order that will extend the deadlines of cases affected by the closure.
