Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Calls for Art Entries
The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival might still be nine months away, but festival organizers are in full force planning the 46th annual event.
On Tuesday, a call for art entries was made for the sought after festival art competition.
Local artists are invited to submit original Kona coffee art, featuring the theme “Brewed From Tradition,” and encompassing Kona’s coffee heritage. All art forms are welcomed, including fine art, graphic design, and photography.
The winning entry will be showcased throughout the festival and on the festival button, event poster, and retail merchandise. The chosen artwork will also be displayed on the festival’s magazine cover, website, and promotional materials.
Typography should be excluded from the art.
No submission fees are required and artists must be a Big Island resident 18 years old or older.
Art submissions are due by Friday, April 1 and can either delivered to Malia Bolton at the Kona Coffee & Tea Company, located on Queen Kaahumanu Highway across from Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona, or e-mail to maliabolton@gmail.com.
Submitted artwork assigns ownership rights and copyrights to Kona Coffee Cultural Festival.
