Goodwill Hawai’i Offers Free Tax Filing Clinics
A new year means that tax season is around the corner.
Goodwill Hawai’i has partnered for its 12th year with the Internal Revenue Service and Aloha United Way to provide individuals and households with an income of $54,000 or less in 2015 with free tax preparation.
Seven clinics will be held across the state, including two on the Big Island.
Those who qualify for the income level must also not own a home or a business.
Assistance will be available beginning on Feb. 2 and run through April 2.
The Kona clinic will be held at the Goodwill Kona office, located at 74-5599 Luhia Street, Suite F-4. Hours in Kona will be the first and third Wednesday of every month between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. with extended dates through April 6.
Hilo’s clinic will be offered at the Goodwill Hilo office, located at 200 Kanoelehua Avenue, Suite 102. Hours will be on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Those interested in receiving tax preparation assistance should schedule an appointment to meet with a tax preparer by visiting the Hawai’i Goodwill website or calling (808) 836-0313.
Walk-ins will also be welcomed, but on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each appointment will be for one individual or household.
