Man Involved in Motorcycle Accident Identified
A man who died last weekend following a one-vehicle motorcycle traffic collision has been identified.
The Hawai’i Police Department says 62-year-old David Morse of Ocean View was driving along Highway 11 on Saturday, north of the 93-mile marker, when he failed to negotiate a turn in the road.
Police said Saturday that the motorcycle ran off the roadway and down a large embankment.
Morse, who was ejected from the motorcycle, was taken to Kona Community Hospital, where he later died.
An autopsy confirmed on Tuesday that Morse’s cause of death was the result of injuries he sustained in the accident.
