Hilo side: Wave heights are expected chest/shoulder/head high today.

Kona side: Wave heights waist/chest/shoulder high are expected today. Smaller waves are expected for spots not open to the south-southwest.

South: Wave heights waist/chest/shoulder high are expected today. Best breaks could get up to head high on the sets.

Screen Shot 2015-10-15 at 8.11.25 PMOur current northwest swell is expected to fade out as new north-northwest fills in late in the day. The new swell is forecast to peak Saturday and fade through the rest of the weekend.

Nora is forecast to continue fading out.

A new south-southwest swell is expected to fill in Friday, peak Saturday and begin to fade Sunday.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
