Flood Advisory for Kona Until 10:45 p.m.

Heavy rain is being observed on radar over Kailua-Kona. This rainfall could lead to minor flooding so the National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory in effect through 10:45 p.m. this evening. The advisory could be extended or upgraded to a warning is conditions persist or worsen.
Radar was showing rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour over Kailua-Kona. Other areas in the advisory include, but are not limited to, Captain Cook, Honaunau, Kahaluu, Keauhou, Kealakekua, Kalaoa and Holualoa.
