Local farmers are invited to the first ever Hawai’i Farmers Union United East Hawaii Chapter’s Korean Natural Farming Symposium.

The event will be held Oct. 1-3 in Hilo and will teach attendees about Korean Natural Farming Practices.

Korean Natural Farming is a compilation of organic practices that utilizes local, cheap, easy-to-obtain ingredients to enhance soil fertility. It is also used with piggeries and chickens to provide pens that are odor, fly and run-off free.

The symposium includes classes, experienced and expert panels, farm visits and networking.
