Tree Trimming on Palani Road Requires Lane Closures

Alternating lane closures began today on Palani Road above Kailua-Kona to allow county crews to trim trees.
The closures will be in place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The work is expected to take about three weeks, weather permitting.
Trees will be trimmed on the stretch between the Mamalahoa junction to Henry Street through June 27.

Work mauka of Henry Street to Konalani Street is planned for the first week of July.
The work is being done by the Highway Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works.
