A project to install speed humps at the Hilo landfill will take up to another week, county officials said.
The work is scheduled from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
The installation may cause temporary traffic delays for motorists heading to the transfer station, scale house, sort station and recycling and redemption areas through Friday, Aug. 2.
Work on the project at the end of Ho`olaulima Road, formerly known as Rubbish Road, began on Monday.
