More Blasting Scheduled This Week in Waimea

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands is again notifying residents, businesses and property owners near the Waimea Transfer Station of blasting activities in the area.
The additional blast activities will take place tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, April 24-26.
The blasting will take place between 3 and 4 p.m. each day.
This is a continuation of blasting activities that took place on Thursday, April 18.
The rock excavation is needed as part of the construction of Phase 2A of the department’s Lalamilo subdivision.
Warning signals will be sounded five minutes and one minute before each blast. After each blast, an all-clear signal will be sounded.
