The always-popular “Great Leaps” spring Dance Concert is coming to the University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 27.

This year’s performance features 11 different dance styles and moods, showcasing the skills of 100 different artists.

Faculty members Celeste Staton, Annie Bunker and Kea Kapahua will present demonstrations of modern technique, jazz dance, and ballet. The advanced ballet class of UH-Hilo will perform a fusion of choreographic contributions including Irish step dancing, jazz and contemporary techniques threaded with classical ballet.

Trina Nahm Mijo will guest-choreograph an ocean-inspired performance with the UH-Hilo Dance Ensemble.
