Christmas Wreath Entries Sought from Kea`au Businesses
The Kea`au Community Christmas Parade committee is accepting applications for their annual Christmas wreath contest.
The Christmas wreath contest is a prelude to the ninth annual Kea`au Christmas parade that will be held Saturday, Dec. 8.
Applications must be submitted by this Friday, with wreaths put on display at the submitting business by Sunday, Dec. 2.
The contest is open to all businesses in Kea`au whether they have a physical storefront or are home/internet-based.
If your business does not have a storefront, the wreath may be displayed at Kea`au Village Market with prior arrangement.
Judges will randomly visit each business from Dec. 3-7.
Judging criteria are based on incorporation of this year’s Kea`au Christmas parade theme “Hawai`i Disney Christmas,” creative use of materials, and quality of workmanship.
Wreath contest prizes include various gift certificates. Winners will be announced at the main stage before the parade begins on Dec. 8.
