Pana Named MVP of Hilo Girls Hoops Tourney

Hilo High School’s Aliyah Pana was named Most Outstanding Player of the Hilo High Lady Vikings Invitational Tournament, played November 23 – 24 at Kawananakoa Gym in Keaukaha.

Pana averaged 15 points per game in the three games that Hilo won, including game highs against Kamehameha-Hawai`i, where she scored 15 points, 12 points against Hawai`i Preparatory Academy, and 18 points against Waiakea. Hilo went 3-0 in the tournament.

Joining Pana on the all-tournament team were teammates Alexis Pana and Amber Vaughn, Kamehameha-Hawai`i’s Riana Arima, and Waiakea’s Sefulu Faavae.
