A woman visiting from the mainland died Sunday night after being pulled from the water while snorkeling that morning with a tour group off the Kohala coast.

Police said 71-year-old Sokoon Yu of Flour Mound, Texas, was snorkeling in the area off the Kona Village Resort at around 10 a.m. when she was observed to be unresponsive.
