A garage fire at a South Kohala home was destroyed in an early morning blaze, including torching three vehicles inside the structure and two golf carts just outside of it.

No injuries were reported.

Hawai‘i Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on the 62-3600 block of Kiekiena Place at 12:40 a.m. where they found a garage, partially attached to a home, ablaze. No residents were home at the time.

Firefighters came at the inferno with hose lines initially then used a turret, or master stream attached to the engine that shoots water, to protect the home and garage from flames. After three hours, the blaze was knocked down and firefighters forced entry through the garage door to search for fire extension and ventilation.
