West Hawai‘i Landfill to Close Early April 2

The West Hawaiʻi Sanitary Landfill in Waikoloa will close at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, for solid waste disposal only. Green waste disposal will remain open as usual. Commercial businesses must arrive before 2:30 p.m. to dispose of solid waste at the landfill.

Residential patrons may use the solid waste transfer stations in Puakō, Waimea, or Kealakehe until 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The landfill will reopen as regularly scheduled on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, from 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

The county apologizes for the inconvenience, and thanks you for your patience and understanding
during this time.
