Therapydia Kona, a physical therapy and wellness clinic, has welcomed Dr. Lev Borukhov, PT, DPT to their team to guarantee same or next day appointments.

Borukhov double-majored in Psychology and Health Sciences at SUNY Stony Brook University. His studies and love for martial arts, movement and performance led him to become a physical therapist. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011, and has worked in various capacities in his field during the last five years.

According to Borukhov, the primary reason for poor rehabilitation outcomes with physical therapists is related to decreased time spent with patients. Often, he has seen patients passed off to aides or trainers, or told to do exercises on their own without proper attention. Borukhov has a passion for helping patients lead balanced, healthy lives, and strongly believes that movement through proper exercises is the key to recovery.

“I am excited to join a forward thinking practice that shares the philosophy of providing individualized care and the importance of proactive wellness in overall health,” said Dr. Borukhov.
