Looking Ahead
A cold front and upper level disturbance are forecast to approach the state and bring the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms on Friday. The front is forecast to stall over Maui County or near the Big Island over the weekend. A pool of cold air high in the atmosphere is expected to move over the islands Sunday. This could bring the potential for heavy showers and thunderstorms Sunday and possibly Monday.

We expect southeast winds today around 15 mph. High temperatures are forecast from 80° to 85°. Hazy skies are forecast today with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Scattered windward showers are expected with the Kona side forecast to get isolated morning showers and numerous afternoon showers. Locally heavy rainfall is possible today.
