Kona Drug Court Collects Food for the Hungry

canned food pixabayThe Kona Drug Court is hosting a food drive for The Food Basket – Hawai’i Island’s Food Bank on Friday, May 27.

As the selected focus of the drug court’s 2016 National Drug Court Month community service project, staff will be at KTA Super Stores in Kailua-Kona from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., collecting food items from The Food Basket.

The drug court choose to support the food basket for its efforts in providing food resources for those in need.

Community members are encouraged to drop off non-perishable foods to drug court volunteers, who will be dressed in red shirts fronting the store.
