A Wind Advisory is in effect for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa through 6 a.m. Thursday for west winds from 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for the west side of the Big Island until 6 a.m. Thursday. This advisory could be extended.
A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday for the Alenuihaha channel and windward waters. This advisory could be extended.

Looking Ahead
Light winds and mostly dry weather should continue through Thursday with trade winds gradually filling in Friday and into the weekend. During this time, windward showers will favor nights and mornings, however we still expect a relatively dry pattern. Trade winds are expected to weaken Monday as a front approaches, but stronger trade winds Tuesday and Wednesday of next week could deliver increased windward showers. Periods of vog are possible mainly on Thursday and Monday.

Today we expect partly sunny conditions with isolated showers in the afternoon. Variable winds are forecast from 5 to 10 mph with a sea breeze developing in the afternoon. High temperatures from 81° to 86°.
