A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Big Island coastal waters and the ʻAlenuihāhā channel through 6 p.m. Thursday for east winds up to 30 knots and seas up to 14 feet.
A High Surf Advisory is in effect for east facing shores through Thursday at 6 p.m. Surf heights of 6 to 9 foot faces are expected.

Looking Ahead
Breezy trade winds are forecast through the work week. Clouds and showers will focus over typical windward and mauka areas with rather wet conditions prevailing in those spots. Some of these showers will spill over into leeward areas of the smaller islands from time to time. Mid and high level clouds will stream over the state through the week making for beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Today mostly cloudy skies are expected with scattered showers for windward spots. The Kona side is expected to be partly sunny to start and mostly cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers. High temperatures from 84° to 89°. Northeast winds are forecast from 10 to 25 mph with higher gusts.

Northeast winds are expected in the evening from 10 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 72° to 77°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with showers likely for windward spots. Leeward spots should be partly cloudy.
