Kaiser Permanente Brings in New Kona Provider

Kaiser Permanente has announced that eight new providers have joined its Hawai’i region of practitioners.

The Big Island will gain one of the newest additions: Keri Lemmond, MD.

Dr. Lemmond will join the behavioral health services department at the Kona Medical Office. Prior to joining the Kona clinic, Dr. Lemmond worked as a locum tenens physician at Kaiser Permanente’s behavioral health services clinic in Wailuku, Maui.

A graduate of Texas A&M Health Services Center College of Medicine in Texas, Dr. Lemmond is a board-certified psychiatrist who completed her psychiatry residency at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, R.I.

Kaiser also welcomed seven additional providers to its Hawai’i region: Marc Alvertson, PA-C, who will join the urology department at Moanalua Medical Center; Mehtapa Berkmen, MD, who will join the Wailuku Medical Office’s endocrinology department; Stephenie Fleegle, MD, who will practice geriatric medicine at Honolulu Medical Office; Alissa Hino, PA-C and Elmer Parwani, PA-C, who will both join Waipio Medical Office’s same-day care department; Elmer Parwani, William Shapiro, MD, who will join the after-hours care department at Maui Lani Medical Office; and Charina Sumner, PA-C, who will practice same-day care at Honolulu Medical Office.
