Today
Today we expect high temperatures from 79° to 85°. Winds will be variable up to 15 mph. Mostly sunny skies are expected in the morning with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers in the afternoon. The UHSOEST vog model shows volcanic haze for the Hilo side in the afternoon (see model above). Windward sides are expected to be mostly cloudy with scattered showers mainly in the afternoon and evening.

Tonight
Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with scattered showers for windward areas. Leeward spots will be cloudy to start and clearing is expected as the night goes on. Variable winds are forecasted up to 15 mph. Low temperatures from 68° to 74° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Cool and relatively dry northeasterly winds are expected through Tuesday, with winds gradually weakening. Low clouds and a few light showers carried by the winds will focus along windward and mauka spots. From Tuesday into next weekend, winds are forecasted to light enough to allow land and sea breezes to set up, with a somewhat cloudy and unsettled weather pattern expected.
