Gabbard Receives NACo County Alumni Award

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was honored by the National Association of Counties Tuesday with the 2015 NACo County Alumni Award.

Organization officials say that Gabbard earned the reward for her “steadfast commitment to the nation’s counties.”

County Alumni Awards are presented to members of Congress by NACo who have served in county government previously.

“It was an honor to serve the residents of Oahu as a City Councilmember,” said Congresswoman Gabbard. “The dedicated public servants who work hard every day getting results to keep our counties healthy and vibrant need allies in the halls of Congress who understand the needs of our counties. Our constituents depend on essential services from county government, and I will continue to advocate for providing our local governments with the resources they need.”
