As of 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, the Department of Water Supply has suspended the emergency water restriction posted Wednesday afternoon for the Waiakea Uka area of Hilo.

Water service has been restored to residents along Hoaka Road, upper Ainaola Drive, and Mala’ai Street, as well as all connector roads in the area, following reports Wednesday of little to no water pressure.

DWS officials advise customers who have water service concerns to contact the department by calling its 24-hour service line at 961-8790.
