Center Offering High School Ag Internship Program
The Kohala Center will be holding its High School Agricultural Internship Program during the week of Oct. 7-11.
The program will be based at the center’s Ka Hua `Aina farm in Honoka`a.
Friday is the deadline for submitting applications.
The program is designed to give interns hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture and information about island food systems. They will visit and work on farms and earn a stipend for the farm work.
Participants will also take field trips to processors and wholesalers and meet agricultural leaders, the center said in a press release.
