1,591 New Cases Reported Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 1,591 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 100,821. Four fatalities were reported.

A total of 77 new infections were identified on the Big Island. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 433 active cases, and four persons hospitalized.

The state’s daily case average is now 1,048, with a test positivity rate of 10%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 69,953
Hawaiʻi: 12,322
Maui: 10,788
Kaua‘i: 3,529
Moloka‘i: 274
Lana‘i: 156
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 3,162

A total of 5,218 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,082 have died.
