Authorities seek the public’s help locating a missing 10-year-old boy.
Hawaiʻi police initially reported Kainoha Nowell as a runaway, however, due to his age, he is considered at risk.

Kainoha was last seen this morning at 9 a.m. on the 300 Block of Desha Avenue in Hilo. He is described as Micronesian, 5 feet tall and weighs 75 pounds. Kaihoha has spiked dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a white design, gray shorts and white shoes.
Anyone with information on Kainoha’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact HPD.
