‘Imiloa Astronomy Center: Thanksgiving Tea Chat

A Thanksgiving celebration at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center will take place at the facility’s next Tea Chat with JoAnn Aguirre.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, the monthly Tea Chat will introduce autumnal flush teas and suggest how they can be added to a Thanksgiving table. The event begins at 2 p.m.

As Aguirre discuss a new addition to the table, participants will be encouraged to share some of their own Thanksgiving traditions as the holiday season provides the opportunity to preserve old traditions while making new ones.

The afternoon of tea will include scones, clotted cream, and jams or curd.

Aguirre is a tea connoisseur with 20 years of experience working and traveling around the world. She owns Teaching Tea and sits on the Board of Directors for the Hawai’i Tea Society.
