The National Weather service have extended the island’s high surf advisory until 6 p.m., with waves of 7 to 10 feet still expected.

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf warning for north and east shores of Big Island, from 12 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Hawaiʻi County agency made the announcement after the last surf-related advisory for the Big Island’s western shores was canceled early Sunday morning.
