Construction to Begin at Komohana & Punahele Intersection

From Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, through Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, roadway reconstruction work will take place on the mauka (western) half of the intersection at Komohana Street and Punahele Street.

Work is scheduled between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Due to construction activities, Punahele Street will be closed 24 hours a day to through traffic from Komohana Street to Punawai Street.

Only local traffic will be allowed in and out of this section of Punahele Street near Punawai Street.

The County of Hawai‘i and the contractor, Yamada and Sons Inc., apologize for any inconvenience and request that all drivers use caution when traveling through the area.
