Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a female who was captured on video surveillance.

The unidentified woman is wanted for questioning in a theft that was committed late Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2017, from a department store located on Makaʻala Street in Hilo.

The woman left the area in a white-colored pickup truck which was also captured on video surveillance.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Officer Ben Nishimoto at 961-2213 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
