KAPA Hawaiian FM morning personalities Jaz and Ka’ea welcomed Kaimana Barcarse to the KAPA Cafe.

Kaimana earned a degree in Hawaiian Studies at University of Hawai’i Hilo and is the coordinator for Hawaiian Language and Culture of the ʻĀina Based Education Department of Kamehameha Schools. In 2000, he became a member of Polynesian Voyaging Society, which is a non-profit research and educational corporation that was established to research and conserve traditional Polynesian voyaging methods. Today and Saturday the 17th, Kamehameha Schools presents the 17th annual tribute to Kamehameha III at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay honoring the birth of Lani Kauikeaouli.
