The hour-and-a-half workshop begins with a warm-up then shifts to the basics of modern dance technique with an emphasis on alignment, strengthening the legs and feet, working from the core, and increasing expressive potential through the torso and arms.

An improvisational dance segment will follow, accompanied by music ranging from classical to rock to jazz to alternative. Classes will include movement and breathing exercises drawn from Juliu Horvath’s GYROKINESIS methodology.
