Hilo High School sophomore Micah Bello has been recognized as the only high school baseball player from the Big Island to make the Perfect Game/Rawlings High School All-American Underclassmen Honorable Mention list, which was announced last week.

Bello, primarily an outfielder for Hilo, was batting .333 with a home run and three runs batted in entering Monday’s home game against Kealakehe.

Perfect Game and Rawlings notes that Bello has given an early commitment to St. Mary’s.
