Hawaiian Ukulele and Guitar has been named the exclusive Big Island brand representative for the Guild Guitar Company, a well known American guitar manufacturer.

Hawaiian Ukulele and Guitar was started just two years ago by Big Island resident Robert Yates. His company has been an authorized distributor of many brands, including Kamoa Ukuleles, String Swing, and Sigma Guitars.

“This means that musicians no longer have to make-do with less than the best when it comes to their playing needs,” Yates said.

Famous musicians have used different types of Guild Guitars, including Johnny Rzeznki (Goo Goo Dolls), Slash (Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver), Sheryl Crow, and Tom Petty.

Guild Guitar has authorized representatives located on other islands. Coconut Grove Music is the exclusive Oahu distributor, while Bounty Music represents the company on Maui.

Yates says that his store, located in the King Shops at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, is giving customers a 15% off discount on regularly priced Guild guitars through the end of September.
