Merriman’s Gives Back On Its 25th
Merriman’s Restaurant celebrated its 25th anniversary in Waimea on Dec. 14 by donating $25,000 to five Big Island charities: Hawaii Island United Way, The Food Basket, Kahilu Theater, Hawaii Islands Land Trust and Merriman’s Culinary Scholarship. “Hawaii has been good to us and we want to be good to Hawaii,” said Chef Peter Merriman, an early originator of “Hawaii Regional Cuisine.”
