Enjoy and wonder at the ethereal sounds of plucked strings, percussive beats, and electronic manipulations of Anela Strings on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m.
Kristin Aria Shaw and Irminsul will perform at the Volcano Art Center’s Ni’aulani Campus. The sounds from Celtic harps, drums and electronics will encompass event attendees and elevate them to a higher state.

Shaw has played the Celtic harp since she was a child and continued into other forms of musical expression with the guitar and drums.
Irminsul began his musical career with classical piano and evolved into Celtic harp.

He has recorded works independent of Anela Strings and both musicians continue to create compositions that incite personal awareness and spiritual growth.
The music of Anela Strings is more about guiding sound and is improvisational in nature versus structured chord work. Since 2010, the duo has released three cd’s and continue to evolve musically.
Tickets are $16 general and $14 for Volcano Art Center members. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
