UPDATE: High wind warning for Kohala, high surf warning for east-facing Big Island shores
The high wind warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday, with a wind advisory for much of the rest of the island also in effect. The high surf warning will remain until 6 a.m. Thursday.
