The department’s use restriction request in South Kona resulted from “unexpected equipment malfunctions” and will remain in place until further notice, DWS said in a press release.

Water Shutoff Scheduled for Waimea-Kohala Areas

Water will be temporarily turned of from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, to 2 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, in select areas of the Waimea and Kohala areas.
