Grants ranging from $50,000 to $75,000 for an 18-month period were awarded to 10 organizations.

Come out and enjoy the rainbows as the Big Island’s most colorful kiki — the annual Hawai‘i Island LGBTQ+ Pride Parade and Festival — returns June 24 to Downtown Hilo.

Everybody is encouraged to come out this weekend to show support and celebrate the Big Island’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, plus community members.

State lawmakers showed their support for Hawai‘i’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, plus community during the 2022 legislative session, passing several measures that further equality and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community, and Gov. David Ige signed them into law last week — in the middle of Pride Month.
