State Reports 3,878 New COVID Cases Sunday
The state Department of Health reported 3,878 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 169,886. Three new fatalities were reported.
A total of 585 new infections were identified Sunday on the Big Island. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense reported that the DOH said the Big Island had 4,449 active cases as of Sunday, with 42 people hospitalized.

- O‘ahu: 120,462
- Hawaiʻi: 18,161
- Maui: 19,494
- Kaua‘i: 6,513
- Moloka‘i: 658
- Lana‘i: 334
- Pending: 0
- Out-of-State: 4,264
A total of 5,428 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,126 have died.
